She had a horse as young youth, and did what she thought was right to get the horse moving. Today she is more educated on how to handle a horse. She is a student of Guy Dearman, from the Sweetwater ranch in Woodlands, Manitoba. Guy is a tough trainer and did not let Joanne get away with doing it her way. As she muttled a strong corrective voice said, “Don’t do that” in more than one occasion. Guy was a guiding hand that helped mold Joanne into a very conscious horse owner.
